​​​​ For the past six years, I have been fighting to protect our children’s innocence and return our schools to places of safety, academic excellence, patriotism and moral fortitude. During the last year, while campaigning across the state of NC, it became clear that parents, teachers and students alike are hungry to return to the values and scholastic integrity that once made our public school system the envy of the world. Our graduates used to be sought after the world over, but now, we are having to outsource much of our industry because of our inferior curriculums. Our students are being left out of our own universities and losing in the competitive job market.  There is no excuse for the United States to be falling behind other nations in the education of the next generation. This is not an issue of ability, it is an issue of priorities. This is why we have created the National Alliance for Education Reform.  We know that the dangerous, divisive and destructive ideologies we see here in our state have permeated every school district in the nation. The future of our Republic is directly linked to the education of future generations.  It is up to US, in every state across the country, to take the baton of American Greatness that President Trump is presenting, and Make Education Great Again in America.   In fighting to win the office of State Superintendent of Public Education here in NC, I became more and more aware of the many problems we all care so dearly about. Since November 6th, I see clearly that my mission to Save our Children and Save America is not limited to holding a political office. In fact, with your help, we can accomplish more as motivated Americans! We will cease to be safe, prosperous or free if we do not end the political, social and intellectual indoctrination of our young people. We must join our collective voices and use our majority to effect change. NAER exists to redeem the education system in the United States, advocating for the changes that parents, teachers, and concerned citizens are pleading for, uniting the groups that have been engaged in this most important mission and empowering We The People to take back the reins of education.
