To the North Carolina General Assembly:
Whereas, Article IX, Section 1 of the North Carolina General Statutes states: Religion, Morality, and Knowledge being necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind, schools, libraries, and the means of education shall forever be encouraged.
Therefore we, the undersigned citizens of North Carolina in conjunction with The National Alliance For Education Reform, demand that our elected representatives take immediate and decisive action to protect our children from the dangerous influence of organizations that have no place in our schools.
