Across the country, the rate of violence, drug use, gang activity and reports of self harm and mental health crises are skyrocketing among our K-12 population.

 

Our schools should be havens of safety, hope and opportunity. Nearly 100% of those entering our classrooms every day are women and children. It is our most basic duty to protect them and ensure that everyone returns home safely at the end of the day. 

 

There is no excuse for the physical, psychological and emotional abuses happening in our schools today.. We have the money, the personnel, and the technology to make our schools the safest buildings in the country and to ensure that every student receives an excellent education and a chance to succeed. 

 

It is past time to secure our schools from external and internal threats, to bring order, discipline and respect back to our classrooms and to teach the next generation responsibility, integrity, and self control. 

 

The National Alliance for Education Reform will expose the school districts around the country who continue to promote dangerous and divisive discipline policies in line with the racist Restorative Justice practices of the Obama administration. Anyone who refuses to make safety a top priority and respects the role of parents include parents in the process will be exposed and challenged.
